Marco Simoncelli (Gilera) ejerce de campeón del mundo

MotoGP. GP Comunidad Valenciana (Cheste), 18ª. Entrenamientos libres 1. 250 cc. El reciente campeón del mundo de 250 cc ha realizado el mejor tiempo de la sesión en los entrenamientos libres. Marco Simoncelli ha sido el piloto más rápido con el asfalto mojado en el Ricardo Tormo. Tras el italiano se han situado Mika Kallio y Thomas Luthi. Los mejores españoles en la pista han sido Álvaro Bautista y Julián Simon, cuarto y quinto respectivamente.

Marco Simoncelli (Gilera) ejerce de campeón del mundo

El único piloto en bajar del 1’51 ha sido Marco Simoncelli (1’51.90) sobre un trazado mojado y frío (apenas ha subido un grado la temperatura con respecto a este mañana y ahora el termómetro marca 14º). Simoncelli querrá despedir su gran año con una victoria en Cheste y así lo ha demostrado en su primera toma de contacto con el Circuit de la Comunidad Valenciana.

El segundo mejor crono lo ha marcado Mika Kallio con KTM, a 423 milésimas del piloto de Gilera. Mientras que el suizo Thomas Luthi ha finalizado en tercera posición.

El mejor español en la sesión matinal ha sido Álvaro Bautista a 1.735 segundos de Simoncelli. El piloto de Talavera no aspira a nada más que ha sumar un nuevo triunfo esta temporada ante su afición, ya que tiene el subcampeonato asegurado.

Julián Simón, con KTM, se está mostrando en un gran estado de forma en la recta final y en los primeros libres del fin de semana ha marcado el quinto mejor tiempo. Álex Debón ha estado más discreto finalizando en novena posición.

El resto de los españoles han tenido por lo general una buena jornada pese a la lluvia: Héctor Faubel ha sido 11º, Manuel Hernández 13º, Aleix Espargaró 20º y Dani Arcas 24º.
