Casey Stoner (Ducati) es el rival a batir en MotoGP

MotoGP. GP Holanda. Circuito de Assen. (9ª). Entrenamientos libres 1. MotoGP. El binomio Ducati y Casey Stoner vuelve a funcionar y desde el primer entrenamiento ya está marcando el ritmo a seguir. En el primer libre, las Honda del equipo Repsol han seguido los pasos del australiano, pero a una distancia importante. El líder del Mundial, Valentino Rossi, ha marcado el sexto mejor crono.

Las nuevas mejoras en la Desmosedici GP8 están dando sus frutos. Si el GP de Gran Bretaña fue un paseo para Stoner, que recordó al del 2007, en la primera toma de contacto con el circuito de Assen el australiano no ha dejado dudas sobre su mejoría.

Su vuelta rápida de 1’36.569 (único en bajar de 1’36) es seis décimas más rápida que el segundo mejor tiempo logrado por Nicky Hayden. El americano es otro de los que está evidenciando un avance importante desde que utiliza la Honda RC212V de válvulas neumáticas.

El tercer mejor tiempo del día se lo ha anotado Dani Pedrosa, con una desventaja de más de 8 décimas con el tiempo de Stoner. Tras el español, Colin Edwards y Alex de Angelis han ocupado la cuarta y quinta posición.

Valentino Rossi no ha estado tan fino en el primer entrenamiento y sólo ha podido ser sexto a casi un segundo del tiempo de Stoner. Su compañero de equipo Jorge Lorenzo ha sido undécimo, mientras que Toni Elías ha sido el 18º y último.
